About Creative Concepts
Creating Spaces for Life Outside
Creative Concepts is a landscape design and construction company based in the Greensville neighbourhood of Dundas, serving Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and the surrounding region.
Our story
A Landscape Company Built Around the Work
Creative Concepts has been operating since 2012.
Creative Concepts began with Mike Voortman’s ambition to build a landscape company that did things properly. What started with a clear standard for detail and a personal approach to clients developed into a design and construction company serving complete outdoor environments.
The work has grown, but the connection between the idea and the finished landscape remains central. Design decisions, construction realities and the way people will use a property need to work together from the beginning.
Today, Creative Concepts brings designers, project leaders and crews together around that shared responsibility: make thoughtful decisions, build carefully and create places where life outside can happen naturally.

Meet the owner
Mike Voortman
Owner, Creative Concepts Landscapes
Mike founded Creative Concepts with an early ambition to build a landscape company around doing things properly. He brings a close eye for detail to the work and takes time to understand what clients are trying to create before translating those ideas into a clear landscape plan.
That personal connection continues through the build. Mike is most at home where ideas, materials and real outdoor living meet — including time with family and a barbecue when the work is done.
