The Transition

From the Road Into the Landscape

This Ancaster home overlooks acres of forest and trails, while its entrance meets a busy main road. The homeowner wanted a calmer arrival that felt connected to the property and led naturally toward the backyard.

Creative Concepts brought natural stone steps, armour stone, gardens and carefully selected plant materials together as one transition. The design worked with the architecture of the home and the wooded setting, creating a composed entrance without making it overly formal.

Colour, texture and natural materials soften the route from the road toward the private backyard. Stone and planting guide the progression through the property, allowing the entrance to feel part of the surrounding landscape.
