The Design

A Gathering Place That Kept Its Garden Character

The existing Flamborough backyard had plenty of garden character, but excessive gardens, aging decking and an outdated layout made it feel tired and less useful. The homeowners wanted better places for dining, barbecuing, relaxing and entertaining without losing the landscape character that made the property special.

Creative Concepts organized the backyard around a spacious stone patio, a fire pit gathering area and a pavilion-style feature. A new deck beside the house improved the connection between indoor living and outdoor dining and barbecuing, with a pergola structure adding to the outdoor setting.

Manicured gardens remained an important part of the composition, softening the hardscape and connecting the different spaces. The result is a more open, practical backyard for spending time together, still grounded in its garden setting.
