The Arrival

Opening Up the Front of the Home

This Westdale home had recently undergone a complete upgrade, but its front yard still felt small and closed in. An outdated driveway and entrance, old railroad ties and overgrown planting limited curb appeal and did not reflect the character of the home.

Creative Concepts approached the driveway, walkway, front patio, retaining walls, gardens and lighting as one connected front-yard design. Opening up the entrance created a more generous arrival, with a spacious stone patio that connects naturally to the new driveway and walkway.

Retaining walls give the layout structure, while gardens soften the hardscape and landscape lighting adds presence to the finished entrance. Together, these elements create a front yard that is more welcoming, functional and connected to the home.

The Plan

Connecting Driveway, Walkway and Entrance
